A HTTP request needs to be sent to the identity provider to obtain an access token that will subsequently be used to authorize the user to access the GBG identity solution.
There are many ways to obtain the token; one option is to initiate the HTTP request from the mobile device directly toward the identity provider. Another option, shown below, relies on a remote server performing the request to the identity provider and passing back the access token to the handset. The chosen method depends on business and solution requirements. The SDK can work with any method provided the access token is made available.
An example of how to code the HTTP request for the OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials Grant method can be seen in the Identity Solution Python Demo Code and Python Demo video in the get_token.py and auth.txt files. Any programming language and HTTP library can be used to send the secure HTTP request.
