Add Maven Repository Credentials and Dependencies

This guide covers how to set up Android Studio to begin working with the SDK.

Once GBG has been contacted to set up the Identity Solution account and to obtain access to the SDK, you will receive a Maven repository URL that is accessed using credentials (see HTTP(S) authentication schemes configuration in the Gradle user manual).

Edit the repositories block in the project-level build.gradle file under Gradle Scripts in Android Studio so that it includes the Maven repository detail:

allprojects {
    repositories {
        maven {
            url "http://repo-url "
            credentials(AwsCredentials) {
                accessKey "ADK4363DGLF"
                secretKey "sfsfe443jfls£dk@7"
            }
        }
    }
}

The SDK is modular and is enabled in the application using build dependencies within Android Studio. To do this, edit the Module app-level build.gradle file in Android Studio so that the dependencies block includes the following items:

dependencies {
    implementation 'com.gbg.verify:core:1.3'
    implementation 'com.gbg.verify:address:1.3'
    implementation 'com.gbg.verify:people:1.3'
    implementation 'com.gbg.verify:smartcapture:1.3'
    implementation 'com.gbg.verify:liveness:1.3'
    implementation 'com.gbg.verify:facematch:1.3'
}

Now you can click on ‘Sync Now’ for Android Studio to pick up these changes.
